Inspired by Land and by Sea
Growing up in the countryside of northeast Connecticut, I was surrounded by rolling fields, streams, and the quiet charm of historic farmhouses.
Later, life in the British Virgin Islands expanded my perspective with its jewel-toned turquoise waters, unspoiled coves, vibrant marine life, and the refined elegance of West Indies architecture.
Here, West Indies architecture offered its lessons, an elegant tropical style born from the British Caribbean colonies that blends symmetry and colonial formality with a relaxed ease and climate conscious design.
Expansive verandas, high ceilings, louvered shutters, and natural materials invite light and air, while vibrant colors and intricate woodwork celebrate the artistry of place.
Together, these contrasting landscapes taught me that design is not just about form, but about how a space breathes and lives with those who experience it.
Design Through A Global Lens
Our Inspiration is also nurtured by exploration. Frequent travels to cities like New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Park City, and San Francisco continue to expand this lens, layering global perspectives with local nuance. Together, these diverse experiences converge into a design philosophy that celebrates beauty, function, and the human spirit.
